Centenary Festival Week

The Centenary Committee in conjunction with the Golf & Social Committees has developed plans for the Centenary Festival Week Tuesday 20th May – Monday 26th May 2008.

Monday 19th May - 4.B.B.B Stableford Competition.
An Invitation to invite Guests to join you in the Centenary Competitions although invitation of a guest is not necessary, two Member can enter together. The Competition is open to Full and Five day Members. Food will be available all day.

Tuesday. 20th May - Ladies Centenary Trophy.
Tuesday is Ladies Day where the lady members will start their celebrations competing for the Ladies Centenary Trophy. The evening buffet will be open to all competitors and it is hoped that past and social members will join in the celebrations.

Wednesday 21st May - Gents/Ladies/ Juniors Competition
Wednesday is a relaxed competition open to all membership categories. A 4.B.B.B Stableford where any combination. Men / Lady / Mixed / Junior / Men &Junior/ Lady & Junior is welcome.

Thursday 22nd May - Main Sponsors Day
The day is given over to our main sponsor – Thwaites Brewery to entertain their guests. Access to the course by members will be restricted to accommodate a Shot Gun Start.

Friday 23rd May - Company Day
You are invited to enter Teams for this ShotGun Competition sponsored by Glanbrae and Ashworth. Team entry is just £100 and details are available from Tom Walker. Don’t be put off by the title – members are invited to submit a team

Saturday 24th May - Gents Centenary Trophy
Open to full and Five Day Members competing for the Centenary Trophy, donated by The Centenary Captain.

Saturday 24th May - Gala Ball
The highlight of the Weeks Celebrations the Gala Ball will be held in the Festival Marquee.

Sunday 25th May - Mixed open Competition
The Traditional Bank Holiday Mixed Competition is brought forward a day and will include guests invited from the other Local Clubs celebrating their Centenaries. Dunscar, Turton, Penwortham Werneth & Crompton & Royton

Monday 26th May - Family Fun Day
A relaxed Fun Day is planned to bring the week to a close. Members can invite friends and family to join them for a Hog Roast and a BANK HOLIDAY FUN DAY. The Fun Day will appeal to all ages with Bouncy Castle, Face painting, Target Golf , Fun Golf Competitions Fun Putting etc.
